“Marcus came out for an 11:00 appointment and was on time and very professional and personable. He gave me cost saving suggestions when he didn’t have to. Andy is total professional who knows a lot and invested significant time and energy educating me on the roof replacement process. It indeed is a process, not just new shingles, although that’s all you’ll see when complete! Andy really helped me to be able to visualize the process. Andy’s follow up was timely and on time. We agreed to his proposal and promptly made decisions for the job to commence late winter/early spring. A Guardian team came to my home to temporarily patch up a small hole around a bathroom vent in the existing roof. That will do a lot for peace of mind over the winter. “My project: I was in need of a complete roof tear-off and a new roof installation on both my home and garage roofs. I found their company via the Valpak Coupons. I reviewed this company on line and with the BBB. This is a 5 star company! Patrick Fay from Guardian Home Improvements came out to my home for a roof inspection and quote estimate. He was on time and very polite. He was very helpful by taking pictures of my current roofs and chimney area. He explained the problem areas he noted on the roof and chimney area. Patrick even came back to my home with shingle samples and provided me help picking out just the right shingle for my home. Patrick was not pushy, very honest, thorough and knowledgeable with the information he provided to all of my questions. Patrick has displayed much compassion to my current situation. He followed up with me via phone, text and email from start to finish! Installation Day: The company had a delay on another job so I was notified that my home roofing installation would occur the next day. The crew started at 7 am and finished at 6:30 pm. The crew worked very hard and as a skilled team all day long. They were very careful and particular with their work. They provided quality work! The clean up was very complete on my property when they were done! They went above and beyond throughout the entire day! They initially had delivered the wrong color shingles by mistake. I had notified Patrick and he quickly corrected the situation for me. While waiting for the new shingle delivery the crew was able to keep the roofing project moving along. Even during the installation when I had questions I had sent Patrick pictures of my questions and Patrick responded quickly to ease my anxiety and clarify the installation process. He had followed up with me after the installation and came to my home for a final examination of the work provided. He also had provided more pictures of the completed roof! Patrick’s communication style is very special! He cares about the customers he serves. “I reached out to Guardian for a roof replacement estimate. I had already received a number of quotes from other roofing companies and had ‘sticker shock’. Guardian came out and inspected my roof and recommended that we use their roofing treatment since the shingles were still intact. This was about half the cost of the lowest estimate I received. They showed me samples of treated shingles and demonstrated how durable they were in comparison to new shingles. That sold me on the product. The work was completed and the roof looks like it was replaced and it is more durable than new! I was given a project manager during the process and had his direct cell number. “Guardian did a terrific job putting a new roof on my house in 2015. My nearly 100 year-old house presented atypical problems for which they developed a satisfactory solution. They were very accommodating of my schedule, working around significant events as requested. To expedite the job, they worked much longer hours each day than any contractor I had ever seen before. Every evening when they left, the yard was impeccable. I cannot recommend them more highly as roofers. Given my positive experience with them, when I had problems with my basement leaking, I called for advice. Did they do that kind of work or know of a company to recommend? Although outside the scope of their work, their representative, Sonny Shah, came by the house to review the situation, and when the time came, he met with the contractors I had pre-screened to look out for my best interests. As a single woman living alone who had previously been scammed by an unscrupulous contractor, this advice from Sonny was most appreciated! The installers did a fantastic job and left without showing a trace that they had completed such an extensive installation — very clean and free of any damage to surroundings to our home.
